Bequest from the Thatcher Estate

In May 2016 we had a mystery phone call from a firm of London solicitors, to say that the Museum had been left a bequest. This turned out to be a collection of silver items owned by Mrs Thatcher, and left to the Museum.
The items include a salver presented to her by the Grantham Conservative Group to mark 10 years as Prime Minister, and domestic items including a coffee pot and cream jug and sugar bowl.
They are now on display in our Thatcher exhibition area
